Palisade, Nebraska is a small community nestled beside the Frenchman River where it is joined by the Stinking Water and the Bobtail. It was first settled in 1879 with the first store built by Samuel True. After years of ups and downs, today Palisade has 365 people and has many amenities to offer it's citizens. It has a beautiful park, RV parking, a grade school, a Veteran's Memorial, a POW Memorial and historical cemetery. It holds an annual festival called the Palisade Pioneer Days and celebrates it's uniqueness. The community is full of warm and inviting people who are always working to improve Palisade.
